    Planning Engineer is reporting to the project Manager, managing the complete planning management deliverables for the project. Responsible for the development of the schedule and following with consultants as a part of the management team in a client facing role. To produce detailed planning of the work to be carried out to support a submission to a client on a tender IN ORDER TO ensure the work can be carried out within the time specified by client to develop project program after project award and support project engineer and manager in updating the program IN ORDER TO ensure accurate program and reporting of the works for field personnel and as reporting tools. To produce accurate as built plans and the relevant analysis IN ORDER TO substantiate extension of time claims when necessary. All their processes are supported by appropriate updated documented procedures that explain how the processes are supposed to be executed Supervising the planning requirements for the project delivery.

    Job Role:

    Managing the schedule development, progress measurement system and delivery of the final set up plans and implementation. Project budget set-up and cost control. Tender Preparation / adjudication

    Tender preparation / adjudication Supervising the sequencing and scheduling of works across multiple projects in a programme.

    Schedule Baseline management, resource loading and analysis, progress update and cash flow integration based on earned value methods. Ensure project control mechanisms are in place to monitor performance.

    Preparing and reviewing proposals and site plans in conformance with codes and local and national regulations. Working closely with the client, sub consultants and main contractors.

    Reviewing the overall project status with the project management team and recommend corrective action where necessary.

    Demonstrating a clear, systematic approach to solving complex issues and communicates the solution in an effective, efficient, high level manner.

    Evaluating and reporting on all scheduling, cost and change controls for this scheme in conjunction with the client. Ensure that all cost, planning and document control reports are prepared and issued in accordance with Project Coordination Procedures.

    Establish and define any job oriented project control procedures and identify the level of resources required to operate them.

    Develop in conjunction with the Project Manager a suitable Work Breakdown Structure for the project.

    Establish and agree the level and frequency of reporting required by the project. Establish and communicate cost and schedule baselines and ensure control mechanisms are in place to monitor performance.

    Liaise with all other Departments at all meetings relevant to project operations and ensure time and cost plans are updated to reflect latest information.

    2) Experience` : 3 to 8 years

    Good to have:

    Should also be technically Strong & able to do Multi-Tasking. Must know to use Primavera / MS Project, and MS Excel. Effective in negotiations skills; Excellent Soft skills, including Interpersonal, Communication & Analytical skills, besides Logical Thinking. Exposure to Contracts Administration, Budgets, Variations & Claims, Time Extension, Arbitration, and Finalization of Specialized Subcontracts would be useful.
