Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads the mechanical engineering team to ensure the project is effectively and technically developed to meet the contract requirements during all project phases design, installation, testing and commissioning and startup
  • Ensures technical support to the Project Engineering Manager and Project team on issues related to mechanical engineering
  • Ensures effective coordination with other project engineering disciplines
  • Manages the entire Technical documentation review process within the mechanical engineering discipline
  • Represents project at internal and external meetings on issues related to mechnical engineering
  • Ensures that review of the technical documentation provided by the mechanical engineering team is correct and according to applicable procedures
  • Ensures the needed Input Data, Conceptual Documentation, Basic Design Documentation, PSAR, Codes and Standards, Review procedures etc., are available to perform Technical documentation review processes, as well as providing general direction to mechanical team members related to the review
  • Communicates urgent/unresolved issues to the Project Engineering Manager
  • Reports progress of performed activities to the Project Engineering Manager

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering on NPP construction projects. Nuclear experience is required.

Special Job Requirements

  • Ability to communicate, influence and persuade;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential, understanding of Russian and/or Arabic is a plus;
  • Ability to effectively lead a multicultural team.
