With over 17 years of experience in the banking sector, I currently lead the Operational Risk Management function at Al Baraka Bank Egypt. As a PRMIA Certified Operational Risk Manager, I specialize in designing, implementing, and continuously enhancing operational risk frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure strong risk governance and regulatory compliance. My career journey began in banking operations, evolving into leadership roles in trade finance and letters of guarantee. I successfully managed a portfolio of over 50 clients, executing complex transactions aligned with international standards. This diverse experience has given me a holistic view of banking operations and a deep understanding of risk exposure points across the value chain. I am deeply passionate about operational risk management—not just as a function, but as a strategic enabler.
