Purchasing manager, Egy mold, Egypt

• Developing and implementing purchasing strategies.
• Managing daily purchasing activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks.
• Managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
• Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
• Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs.

Jan.18- March.20:

Inventory Officer, LEONI, Egypt

• Support the development and implementation of the supply chain strategy in the plant. (Inventory level reduced and cash flow increased successfully)
• Monitor and control the inventory performance against the inventory budget and participate to reduce the level of stock in all the product sections. (Daily reports and analysis made a great role in implementing our strategy by reducing inventory level)
• Conduct inter-departmental meetings to identify stock deviations, run root cause analysis and define corrective actions. (2 major projects were created to control material issuing to production and material handling in production)
• Following and tracking the material manual movements in company ERP system and participating to the reduction actions on material variance.
• Support the Stock-take process in the plant (prepared stock take differences analyses that led have a clear image for current stock and accordingly softly applying stock reduction as per company strategy).

Jan.12- Jan.18:

Project Buyer, LEONI, UK

• Being responsible for Purchasing tasks for projects from customer RFQ via SOP till end-of-life production
• Made global inquiries for all relevant parts (new, serial, development parts, make or buy decisions) for project applications.
• Made sure that sample shipments coming from suppliers physically arrive the plant
• Support of selection and release of suppliers and focusing on reducing number of suppliers with (10 % of suppliers have been reduced)
• Negotiated costs and identified material cost reduction ideas together with Production and cross functional team in order to insure its implementation according to company strategy.
• organized VAVE workshops with our cross functional team that have achieved (100K euro as an average saving per year)
• Followed up and made all reports that shows productivity performance within projects (obsolete materials and unused materials have been dedicated and utilized which had a very good impact on cash flow and inventory level)
• Coordinated with global purchasing team in getting direct information from the plant in all material and supplier related issues to insure it is solved on the required deadline.
• Pre-selection and negotiation of local sources in co-operation with the Project management.
• Presenting the local suppliers to the Sourcing Committee in the business unit in order to get a sourcing decision by the team.
