Commercial Manager

The Commercial Manager, O&M EMEA is responsible for developing a commercial strategy covering all segments and channels to maximize revenue, profit performance, and market share penetration of the hotel in EMEA.

This role involves driving the planning and execution of the commercial strategy by collaborating with various teams such as Revenue Management, Sales, Catering, Events, Marketing, eCommerce, and Public Relations. F&B commercial activities will be shared responsibilities with other key roles within the organization.

The Commercial Manager serves as a role model for the commercial community, developing teams and individuals, and acts as a key business partner to the Hotel General Manager. They play a crucial role in leveraging opportunities through strong customer relations, representing the company to Owners and Key Stakeholders.

This position ensures that commercial management strategies are optimized for all revenue streams and that available space is utilized efficiently across different departments. It focuses on driving overall results by executing commercial activities effectively.

As a Commercial Manager, you will lead, coach, develop, recruit, and retain talents while managing and evaluating team members based on agreed KPIs.

  • Directly responsible for driving the top line budget and forecast
  • Maximizing profits in alignment with targets
  • Implementing pricing and rate strategies to enhance sales opportunities
  • Coordinating marketing, sales, and public relations activities at the hotel level
  • Establishing optimal pricing strategies for different demand periods
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders to maximize commercial benefits
  • Presenting commercial strategies to key stakeholders
  • Adhering to brand standards and corporate identity
  • Staying updated on market trends and adjusting strategies accordingly
  • Participating in leadership activities at the Hotel and Region level

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years of hospitality or travel industry experience
  • Experience in revenue generating or commercial services roles
  • Skilled in presenting sales plans to senior executives
  • Experience in a collaborative environment
  • Proficient in working with financial data for strategic decisions
  • Identifying business opportunities
  • Managing sales or commercial teams
  • Fluency in English

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in multi-complex hotel/travel industry environments
  • Knowledge of marketing disciplines
