Duties and Responsibilities

  • Organizes and leads the commissioning team
  • Leads the review and approval of commissioning documentation (schedules, procedures, commissioning test programs, test acceptance certificates etc.)
  • Maintains detailed and accurate commissioning records, including data, documentation, and progress reports
  • Oversees NPP Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, and Startup activities performed by the EPC Contractor's commissioning staff. Ensures prudent and optimal creation and execution of a plan to complete all testing activities, including component level, system level, and integrated facility level testing (NPP, Units)
  • Follows up on commissioning activities and prepares commissioning progress reports for the project management
  • Leads the review of commissioning nonconformity reports and implementation of corrective measures
  • Provides guidance in conjunction with the operations group on equipment startup
  • Provides advice and assistance to the Owner's commissioning staff
  • Provides training and coaching to the Owner's commissioning staff (as per request)

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering
  • Strong technical skills; 10+ years of PWR operation and commissioning experience. Participation in the commissioning of recent PWR new build projects (especially VVER1200) at management level is a "plus".
  • Sound engineering and NPP operations background

Special Job Requirements

  • Ability to communicate, influence and persuade;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential, understanding of Russian and/or Arabic is a plus;
  • Ability to effectively lead a multicultural team.
