Job SummaryThe Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing general accounting operations, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes.
The role ensures accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial data.Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure accuracy of general ledger entries.
Analyze financial data and provide insights to management.
General Ledger Management
Review and post journal entries.
Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
Ensure proper documentation and audit trails.
Month-End & Year-End Closing
Lead the month-end closing process.
Prepare accruals, provisions, and adjustments.
Coordinate with auditors during annual audits.
Accounts Oversight
Supervise AP and AR processes.
Monitor cash flow and bank reconciliations.
Ensure timely collections and payments.
Compliance & Controls
Ensure compliance with local regulations and accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
Maintain internal controls and financial policies.
Support tax filings and statutory reporting.
Budgeting & Analysis
Assist in budget preparation and forecasting.
Perform variance analysis.
Provide financial recommendations to management.
Team Support
Mentor junior accountants.
Coordinate with other departments on financial matters.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Professional certification preferred (CPA, CMA, ACCA).
5–8 years of accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP.
Advanced Excel skills.
Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.).
