Job summary
Develop and implement accounting practices and procedures Provide and interpret data from accounting records Coordinate accounting services and integrate them with operating needs Oversee the management of processes such as fixed assets leases intercompany cross charges new accounting rules restructuring programs and accounting for joint ventures among others This role may also include people management responsibilities Manage elements of the monthly accounting close process including ensuring accurate and timely U.S. GAAP/local GAAP reporting The timeliness integrity of local financial reports balance sheet reconciliations KPIs Provide insights into balance sheet movements cash flow Support implementation of process change projects Ensure a strong controls compliance environment in your area scope Ensure full compliance with our AER policies Act as our primary contact with our external auditor for the country Address complex accounting topics in coordination with the Business Unit Region Controller Ensure timely adoption of all U.S. GAAP Accounting Standards Drive for harmonization efficiencies improvements to ways working on AER processes systems Build a mindset continuous improvement within team Lead projects SAP SLAN FIT/HFM reporting tools Recruit develop talent drive AER talent agenda globally
Qualifications
- BSc commerce – Accounting
- CPA CMA ACCA or IFRS Experience similar positions multinational companies auditing firms at least 7 years Familiar multiple tools process automation Fluent English Advanced SAP Excel knowledge Participation relevant projects implementations automations USGAAP Local GAAP Leadership skills Time management prioritization Ability manage team shared services stakeholders including senior management
