Duties Include:

Conduct health screenings during sick call using approved standing orders or making appropriate MD

Administer and document medication as ordered by the physician in the correctional

Document all health care rendered on the medical

Assist Physician as

Transcribe all MD orders from medical

Transfer medical records with appropriate documentation and medication at time of inmate

Perform clinical treatments & procedures using universal

Maintain 40 hours of in-service education per year to include all mandatory in-services and CPR

Provide emergency treatment to inmates and

Participate in employee health issues as directed, , TB screening, Hepatitis B injections, flu injections, and post exposure

Collaborate with other correctional professionals to assure social, psychological, and security needs of the inmate are

Assist in planning and coordination of nursing services required to meet the total health care needs of the patients in a 24 hour/7-day week medical

Collect and process lab specimens for transport to

Participates in inmate health

Other duties as

Majority of the institutions operate on the following shifts(hours may vary):
6:00am - 7:00pm
6:00pm - 7:00am
