Contex

tUNFPA, the United Nations sexual and reproductive health agency, works toward a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe, and every young person can reach their full potential.

Guided by the ICPD agenda, UNFPA aims to achieve universal access to sexual and reproductive health, uphold reproductive rights, reduce maternal mortality, and advance gender equality.

Its strategic focus is anchored in three transformative results:
ending unmet need for family planning, ending preventable maternal deaths, and ending gender‑based violence and harmful practices.

Innovation is central to accelerating these results, including strengthening institutional innovation capacities, scaling impactful solutions, leveraging new partnerships and financing opportunities, and connecting to relevant innovation ecosystems.

Within this framework, UNFPA's Strategic Plan (2026–2029) emphasizes evidence‑based programming and strengthened results reporting. The UN Volunteer will support the Regional Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (PM&E) Unit to enhance monitoring quality, track regional progress, and ensure alignment with strategic plan requirements across Country Offices
.Description of Dutie
sSupport implementation of Results‑Based Management principles across the Arab States region
.Assist in quality assurance of quarterly and annual reports for regional and country offices
.Support data analysis of regional progress, including data quality checks and tracking higher‑level indicators
.Assist in developing monitoring frameworks and plans with regional units and Country Offices
.Provide inputs to Country Offices' midterm reviews and programme evaluation TORs
.Support use of AI tools for data synthesis, predictive analysis, and reporting efficiency
.Contribute to analysis and documentation to strengthen regional reporting
.Profile Requirement
sBachelor's degree in economics, statistics, international development, or related social sciences
.Minimum 4 years of professional experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in development or humanitarian contexts
.Experience managing development projects and coordinating reporting processes
.Strong drafting and analytical reporting skills
.Ability to work effectively in demanding and multicultural environments
.Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with database management
.Ability to work independently under tight deadlines
.Experience using generative AI for data synthesis and reporting workflows
.Skills in AI‑driven data visualization (PowerBI, Tableau, Excel)
.Fluency in Arabic, English, and French
