Responsibilities:
• Part of the laboratory & Q.C team in the commissioning and start-up for Damietta Methanol Plant during project and operation phase.
• Installation & start up all lab instruments.
• Prepare & Design all Quality Control Documents, Formats, Log sheets & Registers.
• Prepare all analytical methods and procedures based on vendor’s equipment manuals and standard methods to ensure implementation of HSE regulations / practices applicable to Lab.
• Maintain high standard of safety practice in the Laboratory through adequate training , suitable equipment and consistent utilization of safety, environmental and industrial hygiene procedures.
• Manage and perform the routine and non-routine laboratory activities including ( methanol analysis , water treatment units monitoring , boilers and cooling tower chemistry monitoring natural and reformed gas analysis ) to timely met the work priorities .

• Monitor all different process stages and record /communicate any abnormalities on time to avoid escalation of problems.
• Participate in global water treatment team investigations to find root causes and set solutions for critical issues.
• Support HSEQ team during shutdowns , assigned projects and investigations through performing environmental measurements , audits and hazardous waste disposal preparations.
• Certify the quality of final product as per ship/truck loading procedures.
• Collecte and analyze samples from waste water units and industrial water streams to evaluate compliance with environmental regulations and certify the safe disposal of the plant liquid effluent.
• Perform flue gases emissions analysis for boilers and reformer stacks to ensure compliance with air emissions limits and monitoring protocols required by regulatory standards.
• Interpret laboratory tests results and determine required actions to keep the process parameters on specs.
• Develop, maintain the data base for analysis results and make it available in required format for all stakeholders.
• Calibrate, trouble shoot and conduct preventive maintenance to laboratory instruments periodically to maintain its performance.
• Monitor and Control the availability of chemicals, gases, equipments, glassware, consumables and spares required for laboratory routine and long term operations to arrange timely replenishment.
• Train laboratory subordinates on the operation of sophisticated computerized laboratory analyzers and the proper application of test methods.
• Evaluate non-compliance reports submitted by auditors and generates reports for corrective actions.
• Use the up to date administration/Management systems : “ MAXIMO” Work Flow Management System , " MEREDIAN” Document Management System & “ KMI” Incident Management System.
• Participate in the application of LIMS and do changes for schedules / testing, as required.
