Amr Elkady

A seasoned Business Executive, a Sustainability Professional and an Academic Lecturer, who comes with more than 22 years of overall extensive business experience, focused on P&L General Management, Business and Industrial Development, Strategy and Supply Chain and Logistics Management, in addition to many other operational and functional roles with a number of large multinational companies that includes Henkel, Philip Morris, Lafarge and Holcim. I have and extensive experience in Cement Strategy, Alternative Fuels and Raw Materials, Waste Management, FMCG Supply Chains and Logistics, mainly in the Middle East and Africa Region in addition to a number of expatriation assignments around the globe. Also, I am an academic lecturer at the Arab Academy for Science Technology & Maritime Transport, teaching a number of Supply Chain and Logistics Management Curriculum.

I have acquired my Executive MBA from IE Business School, Spain in 2016 in addition to a number of certifications and education programs from world class education entities like Stanford University, Ivey Business School, UCLA, Singapore Management School and the American University in Cairo .

I am currently the Managing Director of Egypt and the Regional Head of Middle East and Africa at Plastic Bank Corporation. Since 2012, I have been serving a number of P&L General Management Roles, on Country and Regional levels. I was the founder and General Manager of Plastic Bank Egypt, and the Managing Director of Geocycle Egypt and Ecocem Iraq (two subsidiaries of Lafarge and Holcim Group).

I have managed to drive success in all my assigned roles during a rich endeavour through owning an entrepreneurial business mind-set, proven leadership skills, resilience, ability to blend-in and embrace new cultures, as well as a solid wide-spread professional network that I have built throughout my career (i.e Local, Regional and International Industrial, Trading, Commercial, Retail and Logistics Companies, Financial Firms, Venture Capitalists and International as well as Local Government Agencies and NGO’s).

I am also an Undergraduates part-time lecturer at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport teaching a number of different disciplines of Supply Chain Management.
